Phoenix Design was entrusted with designing and executing the interior fit-out for the state-of-the-art R&D lab of Wrigley India, part of the global confectionery leader Mars Wrigley. The objective was to create a world-class research environment that facilitates innovation, maintains strict hygiene standards, and supports a smooth operational flow for product development and testing.

Lab Layout Planning: Optimized space planning to accommodate specialized research zones, sampling areas, storage, and collaborative workspaces.
Modular Lab Furniture: Installation of ESD-safe, chemical-resistant workbenches and storage systems tailored for food-grade research environments.
Cleanroom-Compliant Surfaces: Use of easy-to-maintain materials that meet hygiene and safety standards, supporting Mars Wrigley’s global quality protocols.
Mechanical & Electrical Integration: Seamless integration of HVAC systems, lighting, exhaust, and electrical points designed around lab workflow.
Acoustic & Thermal Comfort: Smart partitioning and insulation to ensure a comfortable and distraction-free environment for focused R&D work.
Outcome
The project was delivered within the specified timeline and met the client’s rigorous compliance and design expectations. The lab now serves as a key innovation center for Mars Wrigley’s product research across the India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA) region.
